Trip Overview

This trip begins and ends at Frankfurt Airport (FRA). Students will meet their leaders and the rest of the group in the terminal and will travel on a group flight to Bangkok.

Group Flight

Imagine stepping off the plane in Bangkok, where golden temples and lively markets give you your first taste of Thailand’s energy. From there, journey north to Chiang Mai, a city surrounded by mountains, rich traditions, and endless adventure. Spend a day at an elephant sanctuary, where you’ll feed and care for these gentle giants while learning about their role in Thai culture. Dive into the flavors of Thailand in a hands-on cooking class, wander through bustling night markets, and discover the serenity of Buddhist temples.

The adventure continues in the southern islands, where crystal-clear waters and palm-fringed beaches become your classroom. Kayak through hidden lagoons, snorkel among vibrant coral reefs, and relax with friends as the sun sets over the ocean. Along the way, you’ll experience the warmth of Thai hospitality, taste unforgettable food, and connect with a culture that blends tradition and modern life seamlessly.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Depart from Frankfurt

Your adventure starts the moment we meet at Frankfurt International Airport. Our Of the World trip leaders will guide you through check-in and security, and from then on you’ll be traveling together as a team. Settle in, get to know your fellow explorers, and let the excitement build as Thailand awaits.

Day 3: Temples & River Life

Discover Bangkok’s spiritual side as we explore the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Then hop on a longtail boat to cruise the city’s historic canals—seeing daily life unfold along the waterways.

Day 2: Welcome to Bangkok

Step off the plane into the buzz of Bangkok. Wander through colorful markets, taste your first Thai street food, and take in the incredible mix of modern energy and ancient temples.

Day 4: North to Chiang Mai

Fly north to Chiang Mai, surrounded by mountains and rich culture. In the evening, we’ll wander the old city and dive into the lively night markets filled with food, art, and music.

Day 5: Visit Sacred Elephants

Spend a day at a sanctuary dedicated to caring for elephants. Feed them, walk alongside them, and learn about their place in Thai culture—all while supporting ethical tourism.

Day 6: Flavors of Thailand

Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on Thai cooking class. Master favorite dishes, then head out to Chiang Mai’s famous night bazaar to shop, snack, and soak up the atmosphere.

Day 7: Hilly Adventures

Lace up your shoes for a trek through Chiang Mai’s lush hills. Visit local villages, enjoy mountain views, and experience a side of Thailand few tourists ever see.

Day 8: To the Islands

Trade mountains for beaches as we fly south to Thailand’s tropical coast. The afternoon is yours to swim, relax, or simply watch the sun sink into the ocean.

Day 9: Snorkel, Dive, Explore

Board a boat and set off for a day of island-hopping. Snorkel coral reefs, swim in turquoise lagoons, and discover why Thailand’s islands are world-famous.

Day 10: Coastal Adventures

Paddle a kayak through calm waters, relax on the sand, or learn about local coastal traditions. Adventure and downtime balance perfectly here

Day 11: Reflection & Farewell

Savor your last full day in Thailand with beach time, shopping, and a special farewell dinner by the water. Share memories, stories, and laughs with new friends you’ll never forget.

Day 12: Homeward Bound

Fly back to Frankfurt together, bringing home new friendships, unforgettable stories, and a fresh sense of the world.
